Grand Lake Memorial Day Parade
Celebrate Memorial Day and honor our United States Armed Forces in Grand Lake, home to one of the best Memorial Day parades in the state. From the shores of the largest, natural lake in Colorado watch veterans, classic cars, locals and more parade down Grand Aveune. For more information, please call 970-627-3402.
Memorial Day is very important to us. We will be honoring all those who have served and sacrificed for our freedoms, and hold a special place in our hearts for our Grandfather who made the ultimate sacrifice in the Battle of the Bulge.
Private George P. Lonneville served in WWII as a member of Company A. 9th Armored Battalion, the 6th Division of the 1st Army. He was killed in action December 21, 1944 in the province of Moselle, France.
Even though we never met him, our Grandfather has walked with us every day through the voice of our loving Grandmother, Edna Lonneville, who will be 95 years-old in September. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma. We love you!

Open Water Fishing Contest

Grand Lake through Rocky Mountain Outfitters
$6500 is up for grabs in Grand Lake’s Open Water Fishing Tournament. Forty, 2 man teams will compete for the cash on June 1 and 2.
A combined weight of four (4) Rainbow Trout and/or Brown Trout will be measured, each day, to determine the winners. Lake trout will not be measured. The total weight of eight Rainbow and/or Brown Trout will be accumulated by the event officials with teams walking away with a hefty prize.
First Place: $5000
Second Place: $1000
Third Place: $500
Registration begins on May 1 and will continue until May 24 or until all forty teams are paid and registered; whichever comes first. Registration is $300 per 2 man team.

If Grand Lake is on your list, there's a way you can help the town win a $25,000 prize.
The World Fishing Network is looking for the Ultimate Fishing Town in the U.S. and Canada. Right now, Grand Lake is in third place out of about a dozen candidates.
The winner gets $25,000 to be put back into the future of fishing in its community.
Eight 3,500 regional prizes will also be given out.
